About Bears View
Nestled in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina,
Mars Hill is "life like it used to be." An Ingles grocery store is only a few miles from Bears View, plus there's a general grocery store for those last minute cravings. Only a 30-minute drive to Asheville, plan to can visit the historic Biltmore Estate. (Free tickets to
Biltmore with long-term stay.) Be sure to plan a visit to Biltmore during their
Flower Festival (August), or during Christmas!
Also, plan to visit Craggy Gardens, at mile post 367 on the Blue
Ridge Parkway. Breathtaking vistas and beautiful flowers for you to
enjoy and photograph.
So much to see and do in Western North Carolina.
If you love to ski, Bears View is the place for you. The Breakaway slope is the only slope at Wolf Ridge with a snowboard course. If you're not a skier, enjoy watching the night skiing from the front balcony!
Or stay at Bears View, and plan a hike along the Appalachian Trail, which is close by.
